Andrea Rabinovitch, an active member of the Edmonton arts scene before moving to Salt Spring Island in 2003 and then Vancouver in 2008, has made her living in theatre and dance as an educator, choreographer, writer, performer, publicist and administrator for close to forty years. Having taught at five post-secondary institutions including UBC Theatre and Film and Studio 58 Langara College; created/ ran over three dance companies/schools (Mile Zero Dance, Dance Alberta, Stagecoach School Dance Division on SSI), choreographed over 20 musicals; and taught at studios and independently to students aged three to sixty three; Andrea’s passion for theatre and dance is boundless. A graduate of the Grant MacEwan College Dance program, she was a member of the original Brian Webb Dance Company and has studied ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop, African all over the world. She has been an arts reporter for The Gateway, Vue Magazine, See Magazine, and The Edmonton Journal, in Edmonton, Alberta, she has written for Aqua Magazine, Driftwood Publishing,Vancouver Observer, and The Dance Current while on the west coast. She has written grants and tour managed for the Historical Performance Society, managed MascallDance and presently, she is very happy at UBC Theatre and Film as Marketing and Communications Coordinator, while teaching her hip hop friends on Wednesday nights. Also President of the Board of Dancing on the Edge, she is enthused to be working with Heather Lamoureux as president of Vines Art Festival.

Robert Azevedo

Robert Azevedo is a dance artist from Atlantic Canada, living and working in Vancouver BC. He has performed and created a wide variety of experimental dance and theatre performances since graduating from the School for Contemporary Arts at Simon Fraser University. He is interested in making space for performance in unconventional venues in order to meet new audiences. In addition to his work in and around performance, Robert is studying American Sign Language in hopes of becoming a certified sign language interpreter, he is also the newest member of the VocalEye Team of Audio Describers where he most recently described All Bodies Dance DO MAKE SHOW for blind and partially sighted audiences.

Vancouver-based Italian dance artist, yoga teacher and scholar. I hold an MA in Philosophy and an MA in Comparative Media Arts. I have been been teaching dance and Philosophy for Children (P4C) since 2008. In 2011, I graduated as a Dance Educator (Community Dance Facilitator), from then, I have been working on building communities of movers and thinkers. An established communications and marketing pro, Tracy helps creative companies and community organizations develop successful promotional campaigns. She specializes in building team-based, cost-effective media relations solutions that integrate traditional, digital and social media. Clients include: Sparkle Beauty House, HelloThailandTV, Creative BC, Suntracker Communications and BC Safety Authority. In her spare time Tracy’s a keen organic gardener who supports all aspects of Metro Vancouver’s arts’ scene.

John Steil

After growing up at the northern edge of the prairies, John lives in Vancouver in the Railtown area. John is a community planning consultant with a large Canadian based engineering and planning firm with projects throughout Western and Northern Canada. He is Chair of the College of Fellows of the Canadian Institute of Planners.

Day job aside, John is a painter, printmaker and poet. He has shown his work in a variety of public and private art galleries in Vancouver including Artemis Gallery, Seymour Art Gallery, East Vancouver Cultural Centre, Britannia Art Gallery, Chapel Arts, Cityscape Gallery, etc. John is a regular participant in the Eastside Culture Crawl. http://www.johnsteil.com/

Heather Judd

Heather is an accountant with a public accounting firm in Vancouver, where she works with not-for-profit organizations and private companies focusing on financial reporting and compliance issues. She holds a B. Sc. in Mathematics from McGill University, a Diploma in Accounting from the University of British Columbia, and is currently working towards obtaining her CPA designation. When not working as an accountant she also teaches and tutors math, physics, and verbal reasoning and critical analysis skills.
She believes art is a powerful tool for starting dialogue, and is excited to be part of this initiative using art build community and address environmental issues. When not working she plays piano, and loves cooking and hiking

From Culinary Arts to emerging Dance Artist. Tiffany Shim started dancing 3 years ago with The Dance Initiative/GSG Productions Inc. studying Contemporary/Ballet, Hip Hop, and the business of how to create and promote your own show. She then continued with learning Street-Styles fundamentals with SOULdiers Company; currently a part of Miscellaneous Productions theatre company as Dance Captain as well as one of the lead actors, and looking forward to learning much more about the industry with Vine Arts Festival.
